Sui, a next-generation Layer 1 blockchain built on an object-centric model, continues to gain traction as it redefines how assets, data, and permissions are owned and programmed on the decentralized web. With a Total Value Locked (TVL) of $583 million, the network has already carved out a significant presence in DeFi, gaming, and institutional capital markets. Recent developments, including the launch of multiple spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on Nasdaq, underscore growing institutional confidence in Sui’s infrastructure and long-term viability.
The rapid expansion of regulated investment products for Sui marks a pivotal moment for the ecosystem. Digital asset manager 21Shares debuted its spot Sui ETF under the ticker TSUI on Tuesday, following the earlier launches of the Canary Stake SUI ETF and the Grayscale Sui Staking ETF within the same week. This trio of ETFs provides U.S. investors with diversified, compliant exposure to Sui, further legitimizing the blockchain’s role in mainstream finance. Evan Cheng, co-founder and CEO of Mysten Labs, noted that Sui has “made significant inroads into payments and cross-border settlement” in just over two years, transforming into one of the world’s most robust on-chain economies.
Sui Ecosystem Expands with New ETF Listings and Institutional Adoption
The TSUI ETF is the latest addition to 21Shares’ Sui-linked product lineup, which already includes a 2x leveraged SUI ETF launched in December. The simultaneous arrival of three spot ETFs signals a strong demand for regulated Sui exposure and could attract a wave of new capital from traditional investors. The integration of staking features in the Canary and Grayscale funds also allows holders to earn passive rewards, aligning with Sui’s emphasis on value sharing rather than extraction.
Recent Network Upgrades and Partnerships
Sui’s development team has been busy rolling out features that address key barriers for enterprise and institutional adoption. On July 22, Coinbase launched native staking support for SUI, enabling millions of retail users to earn automated rewards with a minimum of just one token. Earlier, on July 15, Sui introduced “Confidential Transfers” in public beta, a compliance-friendly privacy feature that gives it a lead over competing L1 blockchains still working on similar concepts. The network also integrated Meta’s Muse Spark model into the Beep AI trading platform on July 13, allowing users to run multiple AI models side by side for real-time trading strategies.
Additional milestones include the unveiling of “Sui spheres” on July 9, a controlled execution environment designed to solve corporate concerns around full transparency and unpredictable fees. On July 4, Sui’s public mainnet test reached a peak of over 6 million transactions per second (TPS), demonstrating its scalability. Token Terminal announced an official data partnership with Sui on June 26, bringing real-time financial and usage metrics to the community. The Hashi protocol, backed by institutional giants like Cumberland, SwissBorg, and Fluid, expanded to over 20 entities ahead of its July global testnet launch, aiming to unlock dormant Bitcoin capital. Finally, on June 10, Sui integrated the athena-backed eSui Dollar ($suiUSDe), a yield-bearing synthetic dollar that expands DeFi utility.
On-Chain Metrics Show Growing Adoption
Network activity continues to climb across multiple dimensions. The highest transaction block rate per second (TPS) for Sui has exceeded 700 and has been steadily increasing since January 2024. The number of active accounts — those that have completed at least one transaction since mainnet launch — surged from 8.6 million in January 2024 to approximately 240 million by June 2026. According to Token Terminal data, on-chain asset transfer volume totaled $921 million over 90 days, with a peak of $40 million in a single day in June. The average daily transfer count reached 345,200, reflecting robust and growing usage of the platform.
Price Analysis and Market Outlook
From a technical perspective, SUI’s price action has been in a corrective phase since its late-2024 peak near $5.36. After dropping to support around $0.80 in February, the price traded in a tight range below $1.00 before a false breakout in May. The 200-day EMA at $1.40 rejected the move, and the price subsequently broke below $0.80 in June, reaching as low as $0.66. Currently, SUI is testing the $0.65 support level. If this level fails, the next major support zone lies between $0.30 and $0.50, which represents the original accumulation area from early 2024. On the upside, key resistance levels are at $1.05, $1.60, and $2.00. A true trend reversal would require a break above the long-term descending trendline near $3.50.
Looking further ahead, price predictions for Sui suggest a gradual recovery and growth. For 2027, the range is estimated between $4 and $8, with an average of $6. In 2028, momentum could push prices to $8–$12, followed by $10–$16 in 2029. By 2030, SUI is forecast to trade between $12 and $18, assuming continued adoption and network development. Longer-term projections for 2031–2050 indicate potential highs of $150 or more, though these remain highly speculative.
The combination of institutional ETF access, continuous network upgrades, and strong on-chain growth paints a picture of a blockchain that is maturing rapidly. While short-term price volatility remains, the underlying fundamentals — from scalability to real-world use cases — suggest that Sui is positioning itself as a key player in the next wave of decentralized finance and enterprise blockchain solutions. Investors and enthusiasts alike will be watching closely as the ecosystem evolves and new milestones are reached.
